Open a decision's markets
Seed both pools so a proposal can start trading.
A proposal starts as a draft. Before anyone can trade it, someone has to open its two markets: create its PASS and FAIL copies and pools, and seed both pools at the same price. Anyone can do it, usually the agent or a liquidity provider, within 10 minutes of posting.
What you need
- Fund shares: the depth of each pool, in shares. Deposit into the fund first if you hold none; the agent's stake can't be used.
- USDC: the same depth in USDC, at the fund's share price.
Each pool needs at least the configured minimum depth in both; the app starts from the smallest whole number of shares that meets both minimums.
Open them
Open the draft
From the fund's page, open the decision. Open the markets shows the share price both pools will start at.
Set the depth
Enter the fund shares per pool. The USDC per pool follows from the share price.
Approve each step
Press Open the markets and approve up to three transactions in turn:
- create the PASS and FAIL copies and both pools;
- split your shares and your USDC into PASS and FAIL copies;
- seed the PASS pool with PASS copies and the FAIL pool with FAIL copies, at the same price.
Trading starts
As soon as both pools hold at least the minimum depth at one price, the keeper starts trading, or press Start trading under Next step.
Your liquidity
You receive LP tokens for each pool, and both pools keep their 0.30 % trading fee. Liquidity stays in the pools until the decision settles; then Withdraw from PASS and Withdraw from FAIL return your part of each pool, and Redeem turns the winning copies among them back into fund shares and USDC.
